Road Trippin' for Sparta

Spartacus I ain't. I don't have washboard abs nor do I have the makings of a Gladiator. I'm pretty sure I won't last a second inside a Roman Arena. And apparently, I don't have the Rite mix of cards for last night's 300k Spartan Cup Qualifier at Wabshaq Hobbies, Casimiro. Going 2-3 in 5 rounds is not as bad as it should be. Still, I had a great time playing Magic and bonding with friends. Maybe next time, yeah?

I knew aggro could run rampant with some Midrange decks to possibly show up. I felt Junk Rites had a good enough balance to go against the majority of the field. I did have problems with Hyper Aggro and UWR decks during play testing, though. Maybe I should have heeded our play test results some more and tried for another deck. A lesson learned which I should obviously use on my next tournament.
