Subject: The Prime Speaker has requested the use of our breeding pools and growth chambers to conduct finer biological experimentations emerging from the Fathom Edict that declared a new beginning for the Combine. Our progressive efforts to improve upon nature must be met with utmost diligence while adhering to our standards of superb craftmanship and ingenious innovation. It would be wise to create a host of mutations integrated into an enormous growing deck to satisfyingly fit the cravings of her egg-hatching wholeness.

Objective: To determine if the Evolution and Proliferation of Grafted test subjects would provide sustainable offensive maneuvers, suitable defensive measures, and Persistent win conditions.

We take our lead through the widely successful Edric decks. I, myself, have bred a deck and reveled from the now French-Meta banned Commander. And while Edric was better focused on small cheap cc creatures and evasion, Experiment Juan rather involves timmy power and card synergy. The premise is the same, however, with a plethora of card draw, land drops, counters, and time walk effects.

Notice the deck list is riddled with layers of thematic overtones. You will have access to Simic mechanics and complementary themes to go with it. Plus, of course, elves! I did try to supplement it with powerful staple cards in order to provide balance without compromising its thematic flavor.

Results: Based on months of extensive rigorous playtesting, our findings reveal a stellar gaming performance. For further data on playtest results, please see crypsis accounts below.

Counters Balanced
Cytoplastic Grafts and Krasis-induced Evolutions are key elements for our metamorphic experiments. Count on exhaustive efforts in manipulating +1/+1 counters and enduring exploits in countering nasty manipulations. Remember, though, not everything will always go as planned. Keep in mind that even before something bad could happen, know that it will. When they count you out, let your opponent/s know the folly of their ways. Counter a negative with a positive and let your victory halt their hoorays. Master these skills and you will find yourself a biomancer the Simic Combine can count on.

Upwelling Power Overwhelming
Edric and Ma' Zegana are truly lavish with their gifts for the loyal members of the guild. But first, you must strive hard to prove your worth. Sustain the cyclical replacement of the old and depleted with the new and enlivened. Through bioengineering methodologies and mystifying metamagic, advance your movements steadily across the currents. Warp the Aeons with Beacons of growth and knowledge. Explore and Cultivate with rampant terrains. And while you promptly progress, so will your inspiration be anchored on success.

Synergistic Tendencies
As games progress and as conditions constantly change, you must learn to adapt with unnatural swiftness. Crafting an environment which results into aggressive creatures, strange combos, twisted states, and who knows what will help obscure intentions. You are well-equipped with the tools to fiddle with and create something which should ultimately lead somewhere, but that outcome will not be known by your opponent/s. The open-endedness of possibilities is your greatest ally. Things will happen. If left unchecked, those things will lead to victory. What exactly are those things? You'll soon discover patterns to figure it out through constant engagement.

Disclaimer: Through the course of hours and hours of playtesting and a continuous card selection process, I stumbled upon a surprising amount of enjoyable and powerful synergies. Still, there are obviously a lot of other ways to build a deck. If you feel there are better cards that should be considered then, by all means, make your adjustments accordingly.
